Turkey is one of the few countries to increase student performance and enhance access to education. In the last decade, a considerable increase in participation has been achieved with major investments and reforms to Turkey’s educational system. The government is conscious that the fundamental issue currently is to enhance the quality of schooling so that student learning results can be improved and the enormous performance gaps across regions and across various school types can be reduced. Turkey has commissioned this examination to determine how student evaluation may be more efficiently utilized to improve learning results.
